Managing Director
Zac is the Managing Director and technical lead at Garden City Solar, with over 15 years of hands-on experience in solar and electrical work. He’s known for designing practical, high-performing systems—tailored to each home, never rushed or one-size-fits-all.
Zac co-founded Garden City Solar to raise the standard of solar in Christchurch. He leads a local team that manages everything from consultation to installation, with a focus on quality, transparency, and long-term performance. A straight-talker with a sharp eye for detail, he’s passionate about helping people make smart, pressure-free decisions about solar.
Outside of work, you’ll find him in the mountains, diving, or enjoying a flat white.
Janee Le Heux
Director & Customer Care
Janee brings balance to the business—managing customer care, and the ongoing growth of the team. With a background in education and community work, she’s passionate about building a company culture grounded in respect, learning, and doing good work. Janee wears many hats at GCS and is the glue that holds the team together. Outside the office, she’s often running around after her kids or in the hills orienteering.
